So depending on the nature of the variables you need to make your future plan for necessary analysis and interpretation.

Now depending on the nature of the variables needed and the nature of the study you have to decide the type of sampling study you are going to implement. Sampling will save your effort and money but to get good result you need to choose the appropriate sampling technique.

The data collection methods will depend on the nature of the data those you want for your study. You may need more primary data if your research paper is a novel one and not too many works have been done before in the same field. In that case your data collection methods will be different than those you will use in case of collection of secondary data.
